It’s easy to tell yourself to be more positive. What creates real change is finding WHY then making choices to change your perception. You need to be able to be self aware. Lying to yourself is the worst thing you can do - fake it till you make it? Nah, that means create healthy habits and believing in yourself, not lying to yourself. I’m tired of all these “body positive” advocates to tell you to blindly be positive. I say, recognize what you don’t like, focus on what you like and work towards being better. Look, I hate my zits and acne scars, I hate the flab on my tummy, I’m not going tell myself I should think it’s beautiful - that’s a straight out lie. I do however, understand I’m human and that it’s part growing older and stress. I understand it could be a sign of an unhealthy diet. I call bullshit on anyone who tells you what to think of yourself. What are you do you dislike about yourself and what are you doing to be less obsessed about it? #antipositivepost
