I hate the beach

I’ve never liked going to the beach. One of the main reasons is because I’ve never really felt comfortable in my own bare skin in public. Despite the smile, my shoulders are bent forward, I felt awkward and shy. I spent most of my time in the water or with my hands near my belly. I constantly asked when we were leaving. After seeing some photos of myself, I needed to redeem myself, so I took photos alone in a private place. There’s obvious differences in my pose and body language. I felt more comfortable and confident! Like everything else in life, we have to practice being brave. It takes time but every time you try something different, it gets easier. I applaud every single one of you who went to the beach this weekend even if it was hard! Let’s all try to think a little less about our bodies and try to fully enjoy this weather! 🏖🍑 #emmelinethings
